Jamaican central bank seeks CBDC partner


The Bank of Jamaica is looking for technology firms to develop and test “potential” central bank digital currency solutions in its sandbox.

“If a viable solution is adopted and introduced, the anticipated benefits of CBDC … include increased financial inclusion, as it will provide another means of efficient and secured payments,” the central bank said in a statement.
