'Slim' chance of return to deflation says Fukui

Bank of Japan governor Toshihiko Fukui told parliament on Friday that the risks of a return to deflation were low for the world's second largest economy.

'It is important to judge if the economy is in a position to maintain sustainable economic growth with stability of prices, and the Japanese economy is now heading in that direction,' Fukui told a parliamentary session.
