IMF and World Bank issue joint action plan

The International Monetary Fund and the World Bank said on Friday that they are to launch a joint action management plan.

The Fund and the Bank said that the plan "aims to translate identified good practice approaches to collaboration into standard practices." It is, they said, expected to improve coordination, communications and incentives.

The plan is a response to the Malan report, published in March, which recommended ways in which the Fund and Bank could better cooperate.
