Argentine c bank says banks can release funds Jan

ARGENTINA - The Argentine Central Bank said on Friday it would allow commercial banks next January to release deposits which have been frozen in their vaults since late last year to the fury of depositors.

The banking system in Latin America's No. 3 economy has been virtually paralysed since December when limits on cash withdrawals were imposed to stem an incipient run on banks, including a hated freeze on term deposits.
