Riksbank leaves strategic asset allocation unchanged for 2026

Current reserves portfolio provides ‘good balance’ between preparedness, risk and return, says bank

Sveriges Riksbank has left its strategic asset allocation (SAA) unchanged for the coming year.

In announcing its decision today (December 10), the central bank explained that the assets are configured in a way to finance its operations, with a focus on low risk tolerance and “special attention” on how its investments contribute to sustainable development.

The Riksbank said it would therefore continue to hold 70% of its assets in dollar-denominated bonds, 17.5% in euro-denominated government
