KDB to operate central bank's loan to SMEs

SOUTH KOREA - The state-run Korea Development Bank (KDB) will soon be subject to the central bank's ceiling on loans to small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMBs).

The Bank of Korea (BOK) has the loan facility at an annual interest rate of three percent which has been provided to SMEs via commercial banks. Each bank has been subject to the ceiling ratio according to the amount of their current loans to the small firms.
