The Payments Benchmarks 2026 model banks analysis highlights the differences between central banks of different sizes and economic groups.
As is the general trend, larger central banks have larger teams. It is the largest emerging market economy (EME) central banks that have the biggest payments teams. These institutions also see the highest values and volumes of payments, on average, over the year. Larger advanced economy (AE) banks also have relatively large teams, at 72.5 full-time equivalent
