Partner initiative: World Gold Council’s study group on domestic gold purchase programmes

The group has made strong efforts to promote sound domestic gold-buying practices

In 2023, the World Gold Council (WGC) created a study group with seven emerging market central banks and a number of international organisations. Its goal was to promote best practices in buying gold from domestic artisanal and small-scale gold miners via a knowledge exchange.
