Bank of England – Agents Summary of Business Conditions (February)

Consumers and businesspeople in the UK felt that there was a noticeable recovery in retail, exports, housing market activity and employment, according to the Bank of England's Agents' summary of business conditions report, released on 18 February.

Collated from information given to the Bank's regional agencies between December last year and late January this year, the report showed that people thought retail sales had recovered somewhat over the Christmas period, although a spate of cold weather
