Poland cuts rates, while Albania and Sweden hold

The central banks of Albania, Poland and Sweden all announced monetary policy decisions today (November 5). The Bank of Albania and Sveriges Riksbank both held rates, while the National Bank of Poland (NBP) continued its easing campaign.

Albania: holding steady

The Bank of Albania last cut rates in July, when it eased the policy rate from 2.75% to 2.5%. It held steady at the meetings convened in August, October and today.

In announcing today’s decision, the bank’s governor, Gent Sejko, said its
