MAS heralds progress on cutting carbon emissions

Central bank reports reductions in climate impact across its operations and investment portfolio

The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) says it has reduced the carbon emissions from its operations by around a third, while reporting that the sustainability of its investments has also improved in most areas.

According to the central bank’s annual sustainability report, released today (July 14), carbon emissions produced by its electricity consumption, business travel and outsourced services fell by around 33% over the 2025–26 financial year, which ended on March 31. This exceeded its target
