BdF ‘not involved’ with French government’s move to Linux

Initiative aims to ‘reduce dependence’ on IT systems from outside Europe

The Banque de France (BdF) has said it is not joining the French government’s drive to switch computer operating systems from Windows to Linux.

A spokesperson for the BdF tells Central Banking it was “not involved” with the prime minister’s initiative to reduce the government’s “non-European digital dependencies”, which had been announced on April 8.
