CNB to create dedicated department to implement AI

Bank builds self-hosted capabilities to ensure data safety, with plans for hybrid solution

The Czech National Bank (CNB) is centralising its efforts at implementing artificial intelligence across the institution.

The bank today (July 31) announced the creation of a new AI department as part of its computer science division. The department will be headed by Janis Aliapulios, an adviser to the CNB’s board and a former co-ordinator of its innovation hub.
