Review proposes reforms to Riksbank research
An external review has praised Sveriges Riksbank's research department, but recommended a range of reforms to improve output and efficiency.
The group of academic and central bank economists – Rodney Ramcharan, Frank Smets, Gregory Udell and Jonathan Wright – visited the Riksbank in May to study how the research department operates. They said the department has a "grasp of the frontier of knowledge" on monetary and financial policy, but also identified room for improvement.
