Consumer protection and retail distribution supervision to be included in new department

Czech National Bank to get second supervision department

The Czech National Bank is creating a second department dedicated to supervision, which will be operational from July 1, it announced today (June 8).

Supervision Department II will comprise previously stand-alone departments for consumer protection and the supervision of electric money institutions and issuers, among others under the banner of ‘retail distribution'.

It will also include the financial market supervision division, which currently resides under the sole financial market supervision
