Ukraine c.bank mulls relaunching currency futures

Ukraine may relaunch its currency futures market next year but the central bank will still hold the foreign exchange market in a tight grip, a senior central bank official said on Tuesday.

The bank banned futures and forward deals during the financial crisis of 1998, saying dealers' pessimistic forecasts for the hryvnia rate disturbed the market and were behind a plunge in spot rates.Since then the market has stabilised with the hryvnia losing just 4% of its value this year."I believe this
