India: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has reappointed a deputy governor and appointed a new executive director, who will oversee regulation.
On April 24, the RBI said the Indian government had reappointed T Rabi Sankar to serve as deputy governor for one additional year from May 3, “or until further orders”.
Sankar first became an RBI deputy governor in May 2021 for a three-year term. He first joined the central bank in 1990 and later worked in several different departments, rising to become
