Communications department budget averages just over $1 million yearly

Communications teams with a hybrid structure are more likely to consider website updates as a main task than peers with other structures, the Communications Benchmarks 2025 finds.

Hybrid comms teams are those with a centralised department but also some decentralised units attached to other departments. Respondents evaluated their duties using a five-point scale from 1 (very unimportant) to 5 (very important).
