Communications Benchmarks 2025 report – getting social

Benchmarks highlight growing use of social media and AI among central bank comms teams

In the roughly year and a half since the 2024 edition of the Communications Benchmarks was published, central bank social media adoption has risen substantially. While the share of communications issued through social media has varied only modestly over the years – ticking up slightly to 44.5% this year – the range of platforms being used to communicate externally has risen notably.

This year, over four-fifths of respondents indicated that
