Communications Benchmarks 2025 – executive summary

Benchmark data sheds light on topics including social media use, comms strategies and stakeholder engagement

In the roughly year-and-a-half since the 2024 edition of the Communications Benchmarks was published, central bank social media adoption has risen substantially. While the share of communications issued through social media has varied only modestly over the years – ticking up slightly to 44.5% this year – the range of platforms being used to communicate externally has risen notably.
