SNB’s Roth banked 15% pay rise last year
Jena-Pierre Roth, who stepped down as head of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) in 2009, was paid Sfr1.2m ($1.1m) that year the central bank's Annual Report, published Thursday, revealed.
Roth, whose term as chairman of the Board of Directors at the SNB ended in December, earned a basic salary of Sfr833,100 - the same as fellow board members Philipp Hildebrand, now the chairman of the governing board, and Thomas Jordan.
However, Roth netted additional expenses worth Sfr138,900 as well as Sfr250,500
