HKMA asks Hong Kong’s banks to assist victims of apartment fire

Lenders requested to offer liquidity, repayment flexibility and replace documents for those affected

Hong Kong’s de facto central bank has asked the city’s banking industry to provide support to those affected by a fire at an apartment complex that has killed at least 128 people, with scores more left unaccounted for.
