Hungarian governor requests meeting to discuss loans


On Monday, Andras Simor, the governor of the National Bank of Hungary, made a public request to the prime minister, Viktor Orban for a meeting to discuss, among other things, the burden of loans on Hungarians.

Simor's request demonstrated the continuing unease following the release of the November Financial Stability Report, wherein the central bank said the economic outlook for Hungary remained "fragile".
