Bank Negara reserves reach 2-year high

MALAYSIA - Bank Negara Malaysia's international reserves reached their highest level in two years to RM127.7 billion when they jumped RM3.6 billion at the end of June.

Economists expect the reserves to hold steady and continue their moderate increase to end the year slightly under the RM130 billion mark.

Bank Negara said the increase in the current reserves level was mainly driven by exports repatriation, which had been sustained in the second half of June.
