Korea's foreign ex reserves over $116 billion

KOREA - The Bank of Korea said Saturday the nation's foreign exchange reserves as of the end of October amounted to $116.9 billion, up $305 million from the end of the preceding month.

The increase has been attributed to earnings on the foreign exchange reserves and collection of foreign currency deposits by the central bank, the Korea Times reported. The foreign exchange reserves are made up of $95.78 billion in securities, $20.62 billion in deposits, $507 million in the IMF position, $10
