Centralised comms unit staff earn lesser salary than peers

FTE employees average roughly 20 personnel across central banks

Employees of central banks with centralised communications teams earn lower salaries than colleagues serving central banks with a hybrid approach, the Communications Benchmarks 2025 finds.

Staff salaries in centralised teams (13 respondents) average $29,364 a year. Incomes within the subset range from $7,738 to $60,029 yearly. Within the hybrid section (just seven communications teams), salaries average $47,767 a year with a minimum of $39,049 and a maximum of $117,969.
