Wide variation in comms staff numbers

Smallest communications team has just two members, and the largest over 100

Staffing in central bank communications teams varies widely, from just a handful of team members to over 100.

A high income country in the Americas employed the most people in its communications department of any benchmark respondent, at 109. The second largest was an upper-middle income country’s central bank, also in the Americas, at 56. The third largest was also in the Americas.

The three smallest communications departments were in Africa and the Americas, and each employed one or two
