Cyprus central bank adopts Franco-Spanish treasury system

Banque de France and Bank of Spain encourage all eurozone central banks to use system

The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) has started using a treasury system developed by its Spanish and French counterparts.

The Market Activities Processing System (Maps), has been used by the central banks of France and Spain since November 2016. The Cypriot central bank becomes the third in the eurozone to adopt the system.

The Banque de France and Bank of Spain say they would like Maps to become a template for central banking market operations in the eurozone.
