Justice department begins criminal investigation into Goldman fraud: reports

The US Department of Justice has opened a criminal investigation into alleged fraud at Goldman Sachs, after the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) referred the case to the US attorney's office, according to reports published Friday.

The Washington Post, a newspaper, cited a source familiar with the case, who claimed the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) passed its investigation of Goldman Sachs to the US Attorney for the Southern District of New York for possible criminal
