OpenAI’s models the most popular among central banks – BIS
Survey finds widespread adoption of technology, though concerns remain over cyber security and privacy
OpenAI’s frontier artificial intelligence models are the ones most widely used by central banks, according to new research from the Bank for International Settlements.
More than a quarter (27%) of central banks rely on OpenAI’s models, according to a BIS survey of 65 central banks published today (October 28). That compares with 24% of respondents using AzureAI, 17% using Anthropic, 15% using Meta and 17% using alternative providers such as Gemini.
