Firms are rejecting stablecoins – Cleveland Fed study

Local businesses express scepticism about technology, with one saying ‘just pay me in US dollars’

Only around 5% of firms in the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland’s jurisdiction said they were using or planning to use stablecoins, a newly published survey has shown.

In an economic note published on September 28, Cleveland Fed researchers Brooke Dirtzu, Geena Panzitta and Peter Zimmermann discuss the reasons behind firms’ unwillingness to take on the new technology.
