MNB files second criminal complaint over properties
Bank alleges suspected fraud in real estate transactions conducted under former management
The Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) has filed a second criminal complaint over property transactions conducted under its former management.
In a statement today (September 3), the MNB alleged a “suspicion of breach of fiduciary duty, negligent management, fraud, and abuse of office” in connection with five properties under its ownership.
The statement said the MNB’s new management, under governor Mihály Varga, was “committed to responsible and transparent governance”, and had been “comprehensively”
