Banks urge Singapore to relax exposure limit on crypto assets
Lower capital for tokenisation and stablecoins welcomed, but cap will curb bank involvement for now
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) has softened its stance on crypto assets, but market participants say the regulator should go further by removing an interim cap on the amount of the safest tokenised products that banks are allowed to hold.
