Green projects ‘demanding’ to find – Norway’s SWF head
Chairman tells lawmakers he may expand fund’s use of external managers
Norway’s sovereign wealth fund (SWF) is experiencing difficulties in finding green projects in which to invest, its new chairman, Nicolai Tangen, has told lawmakers today (October 30).
In 2019, Norway’s government gave the Government Pension Fund Global (GPFG) a mandate to invest in privately funded renewable energy projects. Since then, the GPFG had created a group of staff members specialised in this area, said Tangen.
