Norges Bank divests from Israeli firms active in Gaza
Bank terminates contracts with Israeli investment managers and brings portfolio management in-house
Norges Bank is reviewing and removing Israeli firms active in the war in Gaza from its sovereign wealth fund (SWF) portfolio.
In a response to the Norwegian Ministry of Finance on August 18, Norges Bank governor Ida Wolden Bache and Norges Bank Investment Management chief executive Nicolai Tangen wrote that the SWF had decided to bring all its Israeli equity investment management in-house on August 5. The move was intended to simplify processes and assess whether the investments are contributing
