Former IMF official appointed first deputy at Bank of Ghana; and more
Ghana: A deputy division chief at the International Monetary Fund has been appointed to the role of first deputy governor at the Bank of Ghana.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo approved the appointment of Maxwell Opoku-Afari, who took up his new responsibilities on August 7.
Opoku-Afari, who has worked at the IMF in various capacities since 2009, replaces Millison Narh, who retired earlier this year. In his new role, Opoku-Afari will be responsible for banking, human resources, currency
