Central Bank of Nigeria embroiled in plagiarism row

The Central Bank of Nigeria released a statement on April 25 denying any possibility of plagiarism in papers delivered by the governor, Lamido Sanusi.

The statement was issued following a slew of reports in the Nigerian press about legal proceedings having been lodged with the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, by a Nigerian professor, now based in the US.

"The attention of the Central Bank of Nigeria has been drawn to reports in the media regarding a suit against the governor
