SARB promotes deputy to run exchange control
The South African Reserve Bank has appointed Elijah Mazibuko as the head of its exchange-control department.
Mazibuko has spent nearly all his central banking career in exchange control having joined the South African Reserve Bank on 1 January 2000 and having been with the Exchange Control Department since 1 December 2001.
In this department he has served in various capacities rising to deputy general manager before taking over as head.
