Iraq’s KRG launches payment system for government bills
Central bank-approved platform forms part of digitisation efforts in autonomous Kurdistan Region
The government of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region launched its e-Psûle platform for digital government payments today (February 10).
The platform was approved by the Central Bank of Iraq, whose governor Ali al-Allaq attended today’s launch ceremony, as reported by news site Kurdistan24, which is closely affiliated with the region’s ruling Kurdistan Democratic Party. Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) prime minister Masrour Barzani was also in attendance.
The platform allows users to pay their electricity
