Norges Bank to pay dividends to government by selling FX

Central bank to transfer Nkr30 billion in dividends and interest payments

Norges Bank is paying out Nkr30 billion ($2.95 billion) to the Norwegian government by selling some of its foreign exchange reserves.

The bank announced its decision on December 12, indicating that it intended to pay out Nkr20 billion from its earnings and Nkr10 billion in interest.
