UK: The UK government has promoted Sarah Breeden to deputy governor for financial stability at the Bank of England. She will replace Jon Cunliffe on November 1, when his term ends.

Breeden is currently executive director for financial stability strategy and risk, a role that includes a seat on the financial policy committee (FPC). She also leads the BoE’s work on climate change.

Before taking up her current role, Breeden held other executive director positions, overseeing UK deposit-takers’
