RBI governor tests positive for Covid-19
The governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Shaktikanta Das, has become one of the most senior central bankers to test positive for Covid-19.
Das tweeted his diagnosis on October 25. He said he was asymptomatic and “feeling very much alright”. He added that he had alerted those people he came into contact with in recent days, and will continue his duties from isolation.
“I am in touch with all [deputy] governors and other officers through video conference and telephone,” the governor said.
