Asean pledges deeper integration in face of Middle East uncertainty
Bloc’s finance ministers and central bank governors highlight increased geopolitical risks
Central bank governors from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) have pledged greater co-operation to mitigate the impact of the conflict in the Middle East.
In a joint statement, the bloc said finance ministers and central bank governors from its member states had met on April 10 via videocall to discuss regional and global developments, and to assess financial co-operation initiatives.
