Asia-Pacific central banks say AI risks require ‘vigilance, agility’

MAS and BoT also sign anti-fraud MoU on sidelines of meeting involving 11 monetary authorities

Central bank leaders from 11 jurisdictions throughout East Asia and the Pacific discussed the threats posed by artificial intelligence, geopolitical tensions and scams at their annual meeting on July 23. The Thai and Singaporean monetary authorities also established a mechanism on the sidelines of the event to combat digital fraud.
