Fed unveils 2018 stress tests for big banks

The Federal Reserve has made public the scenarios it will submit to the biggest financial institutions operating in the US during its stress tests in 2018.

The release, on February 1, comes barely a day after the European Banking Authority announced its own, tougher, stress tests on the major European banks. The most severe hypothetical scenario developed by the EBA includes shocks related to the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union.
