Singapore’s growth as a financial sector can no longer rely on luck – Menon

The governor of the Monetary Authority of Singapore has stressed the country's financial sector can no longer rely on luck to foster growth, instead recommending a combination of resilience, dynamism and transparency.

Speaking in front of the Foreign Correspondents Association on September 6, Ravi Menon was quick to point out he had no "juicy announcements" on 1MDB to make, and would instead be offering some insight as to where the central bank sees the financial sector progressing to.
