Austria launches initiatives to combat online payment scams

OeNB to work with federal police to combat phishing and raise awareness about fraud

The National Bank of Austria (OeNB) is launching two projects aimed at helping students and senior citizens spot online fraud.

In an announcement today (June 1), the OeNB said its phishing simulation project would be a research initiative run in collaboration with the University of Vienna. The central bank said it would run for three months.
