The Reserve Bank of Malawi published the first edition of a financial inclusion and consumer protection newsletter on September 2, as part of the bank's effort to foster financial education among the general public.

The newsletter, which will be released bi-annually on the central bank's website, aims to keep members of the public "informed about new developments and activities on consumer protection, market conduct and financial literacy".

Malawi is among the world's least developed countries
