
Zambian governor targets Muslim banking expansion

Bank of Zambia governor Michael Gondwe has identified the need to expand the banking sector to utilise the Muslim community and realise the country's development potential.
Gondwe told an audience in Lusaka last month that "limited access to financial services and low number of products" available across different sectors of the economy "has hindered the development potential" of the Zambian economy.
