Market-based funding growing in South-east Asia, says MAS chairman
Tharman Shanmugaratnam, chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, today (October 25) said South-east Asia is increasingly muscling in on the market for investment.
Shanmugaratnam pointed to the growth of non-bank financing such as private equity in Asia, and said the prospects for non-bank capital financing are stronger than those for traditional bank financing.
